SRE Capital Limited has closed a £300m senior secured facility with Pollen Street Capital Limited.

This is a significant milestone for both SRE Capital and Saber Renewable Energy, and marks the beginning of the next phase of growth for our platform.

The Saber team have built a substantial pipeline of behind-the-meter renewable energy opportunities across the UK, now representing over 200MW of projects at various stages of design, development, and deployment. These range from smaller commercial installations through to multi-megawatt energy systems supporting large industrial estates, logistics infrastructure, and data centres.

Delivering at this scale requires strong partnerships across the full project lifecycle. Saber works with a growing network of national and regional partners, from delivery partners such as MJ Quinn, to technology specialists including 2G Energy and Energy Gain, through to strategic partners such as Flow & Ebb, and strategic channel partners including NFU Energy and Horizon Power Group. Each relationship brings established sector capability that complements Saber’s funding platform.

With this facility in place, SRE Capital provides the long-term funding scope to deploy these projects at scale, while Saber Renewable Energy continues to originate, develop, and deliver the assets.

The solutions combine technologies such as solar, CHP, and battery storage under single power purchase agreements, providing clients with long-term energy price certainty, improved operational resilience, and meaningful reductions in carbon intensity. The range runs from 50kW on-site systems through to multi-megawatt infrastructure, but the principle is consistent: practical renewable energy, delivered behind the meter, for commercial and public sector organisations.

As energy demand continues to grow, particularly across sectors where grid constraints and cost volatility are reshaping operational planning, the ability to deliver reliable generation directly at the point of use is becoming not just attractive, but essential. The partnership with Pollen Street Capital provides the capital strength and long-term alignment required to build a substantial portfolio of contracted renewable energy assets across the UK.
